Clean sweep for United

All United junior teams enjoyed a successful start to their NBL campaign in their opening weekend of this seasons competition.

Our U14’s wasted no time to announce their arrival to the Premier division by dismantling Surrey Rams 81-51. Liam Campbell and Josh Ecclestone dictated the tone of the game by their ferocious defence and perfect distribution of fastbreaks which were finished with aplomb by Michael Amako and Joel Codner. The game was finished as a competitive contest by the half time break when United held a decisive 36 points lead.

The most daunting task was faced by our U18 Premier squad who while missing several players from the roster faced Southwark Legends. Despite being heavily depleted, United managed to weather the storm and finish on the right side of a 60-51 result with Dominik Kolesnikovas supplying steady leadership and Zaceese Bentley dominating inside scoring on his way to 19 points.
