New year winning streak for United

p1160672London United U18 has started 2017 by extending their unbeaten run to five games after a nail biting victory against Solent Kestrels 60-56. Incredibly, throughout the entire game neither team had reached a lead bigger than 4 points. There was no surprise then, when Keith Kanye had the ball in his hands with 10 second left on the shot clock and score tied at 56 apiece. London’s sharpshooter had no qualms with releasing a long 3 pointer which hit nothing but net and sealed victory for United.

All scorers were led by 6’9’’ Carl Campbell who on his way to collecting 20 points also grabbed 15 rebounds.
The spirits of London United were certainly lifted by the previous game where our Londoners beat the current English U18 runner up Reading Rockets 59-51.
Coach Szatkowski was absolutely ecstatic when he delivered his verdict ‘This group of players have come together in the last couple of months in an unbelievable fashion. We are beating top teams in the league without playing really well on offense. We can really suffocate opposition with our defence so will be intimidating for any of the top teams when we finally unleash our offence. I’m very glad that years of hard training and countless international trips have started paying wonderful dividends”
