The wait is over-Coach Kramer starts his reign

The long wait for the arrival of Kramer Knutson is finally over.

The new year brought new beginnings for London United with the former University of Portland assistant coach taking over as Head Coach of our Academy programme.

After a stellar four years at the University of Portland, Kramer entered the ranks of professionals playing in the top leagues in Switzerland, Romania and Great Britain. His first professional season was 2011-12 for BBC Nyon in Switzerland, followed by a year in Romania for CSU Sibiu. His final two pro seasons were in the British Basketball League (BBL) as a member of the London Lions (2013-14) and then in Surrey United (2014-15). In his final season, Kramer and Jack Majewski worked together where Kramer led the BBL in rebounds and was second in blocked shots.

After his professional playing career in Europe, Kramer has returned to his Alma Matter and took on the full-time position with the NCAA Division I Pilots in 2015 as Director of Basketball Operations and subsequently Assistant Coach for the NBA legend Terry Porter.

Kramer’s revolution at United started straight away with two valuable away wins against London Warriors and Crawley Storm in Senior Men’s competition.

Kramer Knutson takes the helm of the Academy programme which is designed for 16-19 year old aspiring players providing them the opportunity to benefit from specialist coaching in a fully integrated programme alongside academic provision.
