Search for the next generation of talent
London United Basketball Club has been invited to take part in and International tournament at Wavrin Weppes Basketball Club in celebration of their 70th anniversary of the club.
London United will take part in U11’s (year 6 and 5) and U13’s (year 7 and 8) tournaments over the weekend of 14-15th May in Northern France competing against teams from across Europe.
Participation in last years tournament was a valuable experience for our young players giving them an advantage coming into the beginning of the new season.
Head Coach Daniel Szatkowski stated ‘It is vital for our club to attend international tournaments, even with a team as young as U11 in order for them to gain great experience which is needed when we come back to compete in the UK. Previous tournaments which we attended showed players come back much more experience, matured and willing to work harder. The contribution to their development is unrivalled.”
In order to provide this opportunity to players from across West London, London United Basketball Club will open their doors to trials for everyone interested to attend.
Trials will be taking place every Saturday morning 9:30-11:30am, £2 per session. Trials will take place at our home court, The Harefield Academy (UB9 6ET). These sessions will be used to select the top 12 players which will compete in the international competition, with further tournaments in the future.
